Overview

Professional Disciplinary

Michael advises on professional disciplinary matters, particularly those involving accountants and financial professionals. His dual qualification as a barrister and a Certified Public Accountant gives him a unique and authoritative perspective in proceedings before the HKICPA Disciplinary Committee and other regulatory bodies.

Professional disciplinary proceedings can have serious consequences for a practitioner's career and reputation. Michael understands both the legal process and the professional standards at issue, enabling him to provide advice and representation that is grounded in a genuine understanding of the accounting profession.

He has been involved in significant disciplinary matters at the Court of Appeal level, working under the supervision of leading senior counsel, and continues to advise on HKICPA disciplinary proceedings.
